Guard Your Energy

There are moments in life when you feel proud of yourself. You accomplish something meaningful, reach a milestone, or simply feel happy and alive again. And sometimes, instead of being celebrated, your joy is met with criticism, silence, or negativity.

I have experienced that.

There were times when I allowed the energy of others to affect me deeply. Their words, moods, jealousy, and opinions slowly began dimming my confidence. What once made me excited suddenly made me question myself.

And the truth is, energy matters.

We can absorb negativity without even realizing it. Someone else's frustration becomes our heaviness. Someone else's bitterness becomes our exhaustion. Before long, we are carrying emotions that never belonged to us.

That is why we must guard our energy like it is sacred.

Because it is.

Not everyone deserves access to your peace. Not every opinion deserves space in your spirit. Not every situation requires your emotional investment.

I know how difficult it can be when the people closest to you do not uplift you. When your growth makes others uncomfortable. When your success is minimized instead of celebrated.

But I've learned something important:

You are allowed to shine.

You are allowed to feel good about yourself. You are allowed to celebrate your growth. You are allowed to walk confidently without apology.

Protecting your peace is not selfish. It is necessary.

The world already places enough heaviness on women. We cannot continue carrying emotional weight that was never ours to hold.

Surround yourself with voices that uplift you. Choose environments that nurture your spirit. Walk away from what constantly drains your soul.

Your energy deserves protection too.

With love
B
